Watercolor Sketching – Capturing your life one drawing at a time
Instructor: Stephanie Reitmajer 503-999-0016 Stephielove12@gmail.com

This is a one day class offered on two different dates.
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday August 25 or Saturday September 22

Learn the joy of capturing your daily life and travels through watercolor sketching. Even if you have not drawn or painted since childhood you can start with watercolor today! It’s easy and fun! Record your life through art in your own personal journal.

In this class you will learn how to use watercolor, India Ink, graphite to create images from life. You will receive a portable watercolor kit to use in class, and suitable to continue your sketching after the class is finished.

Note: We will spend the morning inside getting to know our materials. Using our kits, we will spend the afternoon painting outdoors on location (En Plein Air). Dress in suitable clothing and bring water for yourself. You will need to traverse a short distance while carrying your portable supplies. The weather is likely to be good, but if ghastly, we will work inside. If you would be more comfortable, bring a folding camp chair to use while painting outdoors. A clip or drawing board is not essential but may be helpful.

Experience level: Beginners welcome, no experience necessary.

Fee: $40 for ASA members and $45 for non-members. Material fee $0.

To Register: call Instructor or book your space below.

Materials provided by the instructor: A portable watercolor kit which includes a watercolor journal, permanent drawing pen, drawing pencil and water or travel brush. The kit will be contained in a pouch suitable for a handbag or backpack.

Materials the student should provide: All materials included. A portable camp chair is optional for painting outside on location. A clip board or drawing board is also suggested but not required.

Minimum/Maximum students: 2/10
