This is a two day series. Plan to attend both days.

Saturday and Sunday, June 23-24

Do you love the work of Vincent Van Gogh? Would you like to learn how he painted? His use of color, brushstrokes, subject matter, and so much more? Find your own Van Gogh style of painting while learning about this very complicated man and his piers in Post-Impressionist France. Paint in your favorite medium in class and complete several paintings over the weekend. Part art history and all about painting, this workshop will be fun and collaborative as well as informative!

Experience level: No experience necessary.

Fee: $95 for ASA members and $110.00 for non-members. Plan to pay with cash or check at the beginning of class.  Plus Material fee $15.

Materials provided by the instructorExtra canvas and papers, oil paints, acrylics, pastels, oil pastels, ink, brushes, palette knives, reference materials all to share with class.

Materials the student should provide:

  • 3 substrates of your choice (canvas, board or paper) in your preferred size
  • Your preferred paints: oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel
  • Palette
  • Paper towels
  • Water container
  • Photos or prints of favorite Van Gogh work if possible
