Long Description: Decorate a “Tin Treasure” box with a variety of techniques. Explore polymer clay as the basis for mixed media art. The tin box is a bit larger than an Altoids tin.  Embellish the inside and cover with clay, textures, rubber stamp images, acrylic paint, text, decoupage and “doodads”. 

Short Description: Explore polymer clay, embellishing a “Tin Treasure” box as the basis for mixed media art. Create your artwork using clay, textures, stamps, acrylic paint, decoupage and “doodads”. Come play with us! 

Materials students should provide: 4 x 2 oz packages of Sculpey III. One package (very light color) plus 3 packages of a complimentary color.  Optional: small jewelry/ornaments as embellishments.

Materials provided by the instructor: Tin box, small heart, silver leaf foil. Additional tools and other materials (paints, glue, texture & rubber stamps, clay cutters and clay ovens) available to students for use during class workshop.

Fee: $60 for ASA members and $65 for non-members. $12 materials fee.  Plan to pay with cash or check at the beginning of class

Expected ability Level: No experience necessary.
