Painting your favorite topics

This is a 2 day series class. Plan on attending both dates.
Mondays, July 23 and July 30
Students will provide a picture and will learn the various techniques to complete that scene. Lessons will include use of color to create “depth” and skills in proportional measurement and tips to make your painting stand out in a crowd.
Experience level: Some experience helpful.
Fee: $70 for ASA members and $90 for non-members. Plan to pay with cash or check at the beginning of class.

Materials provided by the instructor: Beginning students may pay a $10 materials fee for basic supplies to be used in class.
Materials Students should provide:
Canvas of your choice in size up to 16×20
Basic colors: Prussian blue, raw umber, raw sienna, med yellow, alizarine crimson, titanium white (I use oil paints, but acrylics are welcome)
Liquid medium (aids in drying oil paints
Brushes: assortment including 2 sizes of bristle brushes for scrubbing bare canvas, 2 sable or synthetic brushes for finishing work, liner brush, and palette knife
Paper towels and odorless thinner.
