Weather doesn’t always cooperate, so let’s paint from photographs. We’ll cover how to choose a photo, developing a painting from one or more photographs and how to source or take photos that make good paintings. This is a single-session, fast-paced, low pressure experience. Let’s paint through the long winter months.
Materials students should provide: Students bring paints, brushes, odorless medium (walnut oil preferred) and photos. Bring a paint shirt and lunch or snack.
Materials provided by the instructor: Easels, canvas, sketching materials, tracing paper and handouts. Some photos to work with, as well.
Fee: $60.00 for ASA members and $70.00 for non-members. Plan to pay with cash or check at the beginning of class.
