Working in acrylic we will explore several methods used to paint clouds and water, sunsets and reflections, waves and cloud banks. I will teach alcohol dissolve method and dry brush as well as traditional heavy body textured acrylic paints. The instructor will also demonstrate how pastels can be used for this process No experience is necessary for this class but I welcome experienced artists.
Materials Students should provide: Acrylic paints, boards or canvas in any size, brushes and/or palette knives. Also, a spray bottle of water and a small spray bottle of 91% rubbing alcohol. Bring your own reference photos of sky and water.
Materials the instructor will provide: incidental acrylics, extra brushes and knives, cheese cloth, extra canvas, mediums and glazes.
Fees: $60 for members, $70 for non members plus a $5 material fee. Pay with cash or check at the start of class.
