We announce our first Membership outing put together by member Elaine Spray.
On Friday, April 27, 2018 at 1:00. We will meet local expert, Laura Joki at the 33rd Street beach access just north of the Sandcastle Beachfront Motel. (Parking is available at the public parking lots located at 35th and 32nd Street.) The clinic will begin with a brief orientation, then Laura will guide participants along the beach and help to identify coastal treasures such as agates, fossils, gemstones, shells, petrified wood, jasper, amber, rocks, and minerals.
The Oregon coast can be wet and chilly. Please bring the following: a warm, rain-resistant jacket, sturdy outdoor shoes, gloves, and a plastic bag or container for collecting. The clinic lasts two hours.
Plan to meet at the 33rd beach access or carpool from ASA.
