ASA Update June 25, 2019

Don’t forget tonight is our Monthly Potluck and Member Meeting!  It starts at 6 PM in the ASA Classroom and usually lasts until about 7:30 PM.  Join us for a fun, casual evening filled with good food and good company.  Find out all the news at ASA and be the first to hear about upcoming events.  Hope to see you tonight!

The subject for Guided Open Studio this Thursday, June 27th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM will be black and white monochromatic paintings, watercolor or acrylic. We will be doing a gray scale from white to black and all the grays in between.  Arlon Gilliland will offer guidance and help with techniques.  There is never a fee, but donations are appreciated.  Please plan on bringing in your own supplies.

There is still time to sign up for our watercolor class “Kites” given by Catherine Hingson.  The class is on Saturday, June 29th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Students will learn multiple watercolor techniques including creating an area of dominance, how to achieve vivid colors, and experiment with new products like Brusho Crystals pigments.  Celebrate the recent kite festival and take this opportunity to learn new watercolor skills.  Click here to see full details and the option to signup online or give Catherine a call at 503-545-9339.
