Back Door IssuesKathy Cope went over the lockup and alarm setting procedure with an instructor to make sure all was understood.
ReceptionThe Reception, while not as well attended as some of our other events have been, went smoothly. The Taft High School Culinary program was onsite and did a very professional job of presenting their creations and managing the cleanup.  We’d like to have them cater more of our events as their schedule allows.
Electrician & Donation

Thank you!  Our sincerest thanks to the ASA member that made the generous donation to the Mosaic Guild to help them have a track light installed above their display wall at the front of the ASA classroom.  It’s our members that make the ASA the successful organization that it is!
Old Business
Gallery HostingMore gallery hosts are still needed on weekend days when no classes are in session.  The signup sheet is on the refrigerator in the ASA kitchen.  Members are encouraged to work on their art projects while they are in the classroom and to come with a friend or another ASA member if that will make them more comfortable.
Security Concerns

The motion detector lights at the back door of the ASA appear to be functioning as expected.

New ASA Advertising Ideas for

Kathy Cope suggested that the ASA be more active in local fund raisers so that the ASA becomes better known in the area.  The next fund raiser will be on February 16th when the LC Chamber of Commerce will be having a “super auction”.  Kathy Cope and Ruth Hugeback will get a basket together which will be comprised of art in the Beachstone Gallery that the ASA will buy and put in the basket along with an assortment of artist’s cards and a couple bottles of wine.
