ASA Update for Apr 9, 2019

The subject for Guided Open Studio this Thursday, April 11th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM will be “hummingbirds”.  There will be photo references available in the ASA classroom. Arlon Gilliland will offer guidance and help with techniques.  There is never a fee, but donations are appreciated.  Please plan on bringing in your own supplies.

The Artists’ Reception and opening celebration will be this Friday,  April 12 from 5 – 7 PM.

Bring your friends to ASA’s Beachstone Gallery, the Pacific Artists’ Co-Op and Chessman gallery at LCCC.  Join us, as we are drawn together at the art triangle.

Our theme for spring is  Florescence”……the process, state or period of flowering; process of developing richly and fully.

JoAnn Ballantyne, an artist of many artistic techniques, is our Featured Artist for April and will be demonstrating and conducting 2 different mini “make it/take it” complimentary class sessions.  There will be limited seating (12 students per class), but watching as the class is conducted will be fun as well.  Each class will be about 30 minutes.  Join us!
