ASA Update Feb 11, 2019

The subject for Guided Open Studio on Thursday, February 14 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM will be “all things red”.  We’ll be painting with the color red, could be a Valentine’s Day card or a red abstract.  You can work on this project or bring in one of your own.  Arlon Gilliland will offer guidance and help with techniques.  There is never a fee but donations are appreciated.  Please plan on bringing in your own supplies

The subject for our Art Chat on Wednesday, February 13 will be “light and shadow”.   We’ll have a handout with simple exercises like this plus a fun still life sketch project.  Join us!

There is still room in our class Drawing – Guided Practice coming up on Monday, March 4th.  This will be a four class series taking place on consecutive Mondays; March 4, 11, 18, and 25.   Think you can’t draw or want to sharpen your technique? Explore the fundamentals of drawing in a guided drawing workshop facilitated by Bill Cary, based on Betty Edwards’ Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. Develop your perception of edges, spaces, light and shadow and their relationship to one another.  Don’t wait any longer and possibly miss out, click here for more details and to book your space online.
